Entertainment marketing giants Talent Africa Group (TAG) has joined hands with Sheraton Kampala Hotel to better the Miss Uganda pageant.
The national beauty pageant has over the years experienced noticeable setbacks due to inadequate funding and disinterest from corporate brands and the State.
The public hasn’t been too keen or supportive either, and parallel pageants have crept in to fill the presumed void.
The 2017 edition was not held, resulting in a double reign for 2016 crown holder Leah Kagasa, but 2018 seems to be headed in a different direction.
TAG this week held a press conference at which partnership with the Miss Uganda pageant was announced.
The deal must have been initiated by Former Miss Uganda 2011 Queen Slyvia Wilson, now married to TAG Boss Allibhai.
Flanked by Miss Uganda Boss Brenda Nanyonjo, her team and Kezzi Entertainment, Sylvia unveiled the partnership.
“We have signed a 3 year joint venture agreement with Kezzi Entertainment, the exclusive franchise holder for the Miss Uganda Pageant in Uganda since 2011.
Talent Africa will be in charge of the Events and Business Management side of the Pageant.
In addition Kampala Sheraton will be the official venue and accommodation partner of Miss Uganda 2018 so expect all activities leading up to the grand finale to be hosted by this 5 star hotel.
Nbstelevision will our official media partner airing a series of build activities on a dedicated Reality show and broadcasting the finale LIVE on TV for all on pay and non pay TV to see.
The Full list of the various corporate partners will be released on May 2018.
